The Art of Fairy Tales and Fables

IMG_5567_2_2I am lucky enough to live in the small tidal village of Bear River, a rural community tucked away in a beautiful river valley in South Western Nova Scotia. Over the years this small village, of approximately 800 residents, has attracted and welcomed newcomers from all walks of life and has become home to many artisans, all drawn by it’s beauty and tranquility.

Last weekend was the Bear River Winter Carnival, which included an open invitation to take part in a group art show, titled ‘Fairy Tales and Fables‘.

So after checking out a few fables by Aesop, I chose two titles as inspiration.

Both birds can be seen in greater detail on my Etsy store.
